1. Eating dinner, lunch or breakfast with someone who chews with their mouth open. This problem exists because of parents not teaching their kids table manners, because they probably never got taught either.
2. Putting my headphones in my pocket and having them get extremely tangled in 2 minutes. This has gotta be a huge problem for most people. Most likely happens from friction inside of your pocket.
3. Eating somewhere where you order food for the table not individually. Everyone gets tense making sure they like what they're eating and that they get enough.
4. When I am talking or introduce myself to someone and they don't make ay eye contact. Avoiding eye contact just gives me an overall sketch vibe about whoever it is.
5.Bieng behind a slow car in the fastest lane. No reason to be in the fastest lane besides for passing people not for cruising at speed limit. People just think about themselves not other drivers.
6. When people bring super smelly foods to the library, or plane or somewhere enclosed. Again people just inconsiderate of everything but their wants.
7.Long car rides knowing you can't go to the bathroom even if at the moment you really don't need to. This is a complete mental thing that bothers me because I know that because I can't I think I need to.
8. Freezing floor hoping out of the shower and immediately being freezing. Living in South Florida I can not thrive in the cold.
9. People who are double faced, and won't tell you anything straight up. I rather someone be completely honest with me then lie to my face.
10. Late night long stop lights when theres nobody on the road. Clearly stoplights are a must for traffic safety, but sitting at a light for 5 min with nobody there gets frustrating.
11. Long drive through lines. Fully evades the point of the having a drive through to save time.
12. Getting into a cold wetsuit early morning. Nothings worse then hoping back into a wet wetsuit on a cold early morning.
13. When you go surf your local spot and its blown up because of social media. Everyone has a friend or two that they tell at a moments notice or even worse put it on their story which makes it easy for anyone to get on the water.
14. Not having face sunscreen and spraying the spray one in your face. Nothing worse then those fifteen seconds of sunscreen spraying in your face.
15. Rude waiters/hostesses or employees. You are working for the customer, nothing worse then begging for something you are paying for.
16. Band wagon Fans of sports or whatever is in fashion. Nothing bugs me more then people just following what everyone else does, and not being themselves.
17. School assignments especially essays that are clearly just to take up the students time. Filler assignments bug me because of the time spent that could of been used on anything else.
18. Having the checkout person clock out in the line your in. When a worker clocks out before closing the line and decides they're shift is over.
19. good food that is cold. I love my food super hot especially pasta and nothing worse then a great meal ruined because of it not being hot enough.
20. Waiting in a line and watching people try to skip. This bugs me a lot especially when people think there slick and nobody will notice. Were all trying to go inside the same place clearly thats why theres a line.
At the begging of this list of 20 things that bugged me, I surprisingly had a hard time of thinking of little things that bug me. I think its because most of these things are things that bother me in the moment, not that I just think about all the time. I finally thought of a couple good ones by thinking of activities I do like driving, or surfing. The hardest part is trying to think of little things that bother you when they aren't happening in the moment. The list did get a little easier when I started thinking of things that I do and my past and whats bothered me in the past.

I think your list is very relatable. I personally agree with 16. Nothing is worse than those garbage bandwagon FSU fans who were literally wearing gator jerseys before they claimed to always be Noles. At least if you're going to root for a crappy team do it because it's your crappy team, not just cause everyone else is doing it.
ReplyDeleteI like this bug list because it is catered toward your interests. I feel as if other bug lists are really general and include bugs that everyone faces so I like the uniqueness of this one. Additionally, I liked the language you used throughout the blog post. While the majority of the blog was formal and professional, I appreciate the parts where you added in slang language and let your personality show through your diction.
ReplyDeleteI wrote a similar reflection on what I found difficult about making my list. I agree, the things that bug me typically are very little and I just let them fly over my shoulder without really digging into them on why the bother me unless there is a quick action to change that. One of your responses that I did not think about which happens to be one of my biggest pet peeves was the very first one you listed. There is nothing that bothers me more than someone chewing with their mouth open while eating. Me realizing I forgot that shows how many things really do bug us but we cannot even think too much into it to remember it.
