Halfway Reflection
- The definition of Tenacious is "Not easily stopped or pulled apart," this class has made me realize that to be a succesful entrepreneur, one must be tenacious. Being Tenacious means failing 3 times against all odds, but being able to try and succeed the fourth time, this is the main quality needed to be an entrepreneur. This course is built for student success, and I would say that the best needed quality for doing good in this class is time management. While being tenacious is very important for the success of this class, I believe that by just consistently putting in a couple hours of work a week, you can be succesful in this class. Time management with dedication has helped me keep up with this course, but you have to stay on top of this class and you'r assignments.
- Being Tenacious isn't just a quality, its an attitude. There has been many times where I have failed in this class, but my tenacity pulled me through it. For example. My first time submitting a blog url, I got no credit because of an incorrect url, but learned how to submit correctly and got credit the next time. Another example is when I couldn't think of a need to base my economic opportunity off, but eventually I saw a need that could have an economic opportunity based on it. To be succesful in this class, you need to have tenacity and resolution to overcome your failures.
- The three tips on how to have a tenacious attitude, and develop a tenacious personality that I would give to a student about to take this class are: to always look from a different angle and try a different solution to the problem, always believe in yourself and your ideas, and to always keep trying, even if all hope seems lost, you always have a chance.

I think your tip on looking from a different angle could relate to major success in this course and in entrepreneurship. There are many people who only want to see things and ideas their way. If you are able to see this course and its ideas from a different point of view, you will be able to gain more ideas and bounce them off of one another for more.
ReplyDeleteI think it is interesting, the tips that you gave to the prospective students coming in on how to foster a tenacious attitude. It is very important, that in this class, people believe in themselves and the ideas that they put forward. I think that another thing you said that struck me was when you did not get credit from submitting the incorrect URL. You could have been angry or upset, but you persevered through the remainder of the course.
