Idea Napkin #2

Napkin Idea #2

  1.   I was born in Buenos Aires,Argentina then moved to Fort Lauderdale where I attended Saint Thomas Aquinas and now currently attend the University of Florida. My talents are decision making, management, time management and decisiveness, Ive picked up these skills while working at Aloha Surfing School and PG management. What really sets me apart is my tenacious attitude that pushes me to succeed, and my social skills that helps me build a good social network. My aspirations is to eventually own several succesful Businesses, and be more then financially stable  My business Idea was based on the economic opportunity I saw when I first came to Gainesville, the unavailability of Juul pods with the amount of demand for them. If my business idea of setting up Juul pod vending machines that would carry a consistent variety of flavors became real, I believe it would be a major time commitment in my life. I would dedicate a lot of my time to making sure this company would thrive.
  2.  I am offering a consistent, and always reliable way of getting Juul pods in convenient spots that would not create such a hassle for college students when trying to buy Juul pods. These vending machines could be strategically placed in midtown, busiest parts of campus and downtown. These vending machines would be in easily reachable locations and could guarantee consistency of pods and variety of pods. These Juul pod vending machines will solve the struggle that it is right now to buy Juul pods , especially being college students with no transportation , and buying the flavors that you want.
  3. Based on all of my past interviews with potential prototypical customers, experts in the industry and market, and suppliers, I believe that my prototypical customer would be a underclassmen in college with no form of transportation that Juuls. Based on my interviews, their is no gender bias on these customers, but my ideal customer has no transportation and is into current college trends. All my customers have the same problem of how hard it is to get the jul pods and flavors that they want, and have a hard time of finding transportation to get there.
  4. I believe that my customers will care about my business idea, because it will save them this 45 minute hassle a couple times a week that they go through, when trying to buy the Juul pods that they want. These vending machines will all be placed within walking distance of main locations of the city, and will always have the flavors that they need. The customers will care because it is saving them major time, and giving them the chance to choose the flavor they want.
  5. What sets me apart from everyone else, is that by having vending machines with just jul pods, I could consistently buy bulk pods and flavors from Juul, which would guarantee flavor availability  Also, they would need no transportation to try to find these Juul pods, which is a huge factor for most college kids with no transportation.

  • After doing my second napkin idea , I realized the strengths and weaknesses of my business plan. I realized that the economic need I based my idea off is correct, but that however just jul pods might not be enough of a market to produce positive profits. However, the napkin idea also proved to me that consistency, location and flavors are what customers are most looking for, and therefore my vending machines would cover all of that. The final main thing I realized from my second napkin idea is that to start of this company I would need to at least get a couple vending machines, and set up a weekly bulk shipment of pods to be able to get the company going.  The weaker part of my business idea is if gas stations and smoke shops catch up and eventually get more flavors consistently, or if Juuling goes out of style, then my idea will have no other source of revenue.

  1. I think that it is interesting what you did for the realizations of your plans and original idea napkin. I think it is beneficial that you noticed what the customers were most looking for. I think it makes sense that they would look for consistency first, if you waiver from your original plan then you can lose clients which would be bad for your business. Hopefully Juuling does not go out of style, because then it really will be the end of your business.

  2. You did a good job tweaking your napkin from the previous iteration of it to this one. I think this gives a great summary of your toolbelt of assets and abilities, as well as what your business is moving forward. This will greatly help you further develop your pitch, business plan, and progress in the class.
